The God I serve I don’t always understand.
The God I serve I know is always there.
The God I serve is always seen in every trial I have been through; although, I couldn’t always see it at the time.
The God that will always make a way for me, if I allow Him.
Right now my husband, myself, and my son serve full time in the evangelistic field. We travel, following the Lord’s leading, and minister to people and in churches wherever He sends us. One of people’s biggest questions is about finances. There are times where we have scheduled out exactly where we will go; therefore, we know where finances will come from. There are other times that we have no idea where we will be the next day. Often times people ask questions out of concern, because they do not see how we can make it. The answer is the God I serve always provides. We have received money from strangers. We have found money in places we didn’t have before. We have had God lay us on people’s hearts, and then give us a financial blessing. God led us to evangelize, He will provide. The God I serve is always faithful. My greatest concern is never about having the money, it is always about whether we are being good stewards of our finances, and making sure we are in the Lord’s Will, being in the right place at the appointed time.
The God I serve, is the God of plenty. That doesn’t always mean I have extra, but it means I always have enough.
The God I serve always has a plan, even when I can’t see it. There are little things that He does to show me He was thinking ahead and making a way before I could see it. There are times that my husband or the both of us will feel that God wants us in a certain place (city, state, etc), but there are also times that we are unsure. For a couple weeks we did not know where we were going to be this last Sunday. We were unsure where God wanted us, not to be mistaken for doubting God would provide. My husband kept feeling like we should go back to our home town. We didn’t have a certain church to go to, but we went. On Saturday night a pastor contacted my husband, and asked us to come. This pastor said something on Sunday that stood out to me, he said that he had my husband on his mind for the past couple of weeks. We had been wondering where we would go for a couple of weeks. The God I serve shows me He is thinking ahead in the little ways. He had a place for us already. There are times God shows us He had a plan and was thinking ahead, but if we are not careful we can miss it.
I could write all day about the God I serve. I could write all day about the miracles I have seen or heard. I could write about all of the big and small things He has done for me. I just want to tell you that the God I serve always has what I need.
The God I serve has given me unexplainable peace in times of mental turmoil.
The God I serve has healed my body.
The God I serve has sent someone to say just a few words to me to keep me going.
The God I serve has provided for me.
The God I serve has led me through darkness.
The God I serve has made impossible situations possible.
The God I serve is always faithful.
If you don’t know who the God I serve is, I would love to introduce you to Him today.
His name is Jesus. He has a plan and a purpose for you. He wants to be the possible in your impossible situation. He wants to be your Savior. I hope that today you get to know the God I serve. Maybe you already know Him, get to know Him a little bit more. I have experienced His miraculous power more times that I can count, but I can assure you there is more to know. I encourage you today to make the God I serve, the God you serve, you won’t regret it.
