I have gone back and forth on what I was going to post today. I have had ideas over the past week that have never seemed to come together. This morning I felt God lay something on my heart that I would like to share with you. I won’t be sharing an old journal entry, just what is on my heart. It is probably something you have heard before, but I know I can always use a reminder.
Miracles, something that seems impossible, that is performed by an Almighty God.
Do you feel like God has given you a personal promise?
Is there something that you have sought God for, that you really felt like He was going to do?
Maybe you have been seeking after something His Word promises you.
Sometimes we find ourselves reading the Word of God and see a miracle. It seems like someone said God I need ___, and He did it right then. It seemed so easy. Sometimes we see the problem and the miracle. We forget to pay attention to the fact that it isn’t always immediate the way we can portray it to be. The waiting period. I really just don’t even like to write it, waiting. If you ask my husband he will let you know that patience isn’t my strength, thank God it is my husbands. God knew I needed a patient man for a balance. There are life events that occur during the “in between” that are not written, or not focused on. One day we will be able to look at the situation or trial we are in now, and be able to see where we started and the miracle in the end. During my pregnancy with my son I had many trials and what seemed like impossible situations (maybe another post for another time); although, I remember the pain and trials in between, my focus is always where I started to the miracle that I am now raising. The pain isn’t forgotten, but the miracle shines brighter. In your weakness that seems like it will last forever, hold on. Take one more step today. Your miracle is just around the corner.
Isaiah 40:28-29, 31 28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Is 40:28-29, 31
In these verses we see how God is everlasting, never faints, and is never weak. Whenever we wait upon Him; He will make us a little more like Him. I want Him to take me when I’m weak and give me a little bit of His strength, His endurance, and His power.
Let Him give you what you are lacking. Don’t give up. Lean on Him.
Lets talk about Peter, when he was about to witness one of the greatest miracles, the resurrection of Christ. Jesus had told Peter what would happen. It was an important moment. The resurrection wasn’t far, the miracle. It didn’t look good. The pressure, the doubt, whatever it may have been seemed to have weighed on Peter. He denied. He cursed and swore.
However, he got back up. He repented. He kept serving Christ.
Despite faults ~ Despite the miracle being so close ~ Despite failing
You may be weak right now. You may have failed. You may have made a mistake.
You are still loved. You still have a purpose. Your miracle can still happen.
If you are weak, have failed, made mistakes, or fallen - get back up, repent, and follow God.
The miracle is just around the corner!
Elisabeth was told she was going to conceive in her old age. We can look at her being barren and well stricken in age, and the birth of a miracle that was mightily used by God. There were many years not really spoken about before Elisabeth was even told she would conceive.
Don’t forget that the miracle came when we may have considered it too late.
The miracle didn’t happen at the normal time in the normal way.
May I present to you today the thought that the greatest miracles take a longer path, a longer waiting.
The miracle that you have been praying for, fasting for, and waiting for…
The miracle that seems like there is no hope left…
The miracle that is “past time”...
When it is the hardest it has ever been to believe...
This is when the miraculous takes place. Your miracle is just around the corner!
Hold on a little bit longer.
Take it one day at a time.
Pray one more time.
Fast one more day.
Proclaim, believe, and have faith for one more season.
The greatest miracles are performed after the longest waits. Right now you are building a foundation, and an environment for your miracle to survive in.
Don’t give up, get back up, your miracle is just around the corner!
